*Sniiiiiiiiiiiff* Smell that? The sweet smell of glorious victory? It is with great honour, and magnimonious modesty that I accept the title of “God Emporer, Holder of the First Blood”.
Ha, seriously though. I finished my first KoW unit (and managed to get a post up before John). It’s kind of my test piece, so I’m hoping to get better and refine my technique as I progress through this journey. In future pieces I’ll go through some of the finer points of the technique (namely for the base as the Goblins are all kinds of tabletop standard) but until then I’ll leave you with the pictures.

It’s all about that base, ’bout that base. No Rebels.

“We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender”

That’s a really nice looking base. Will be interested to hear what materials you used.

A mix of crackle paste and tan paint for the cracked earth bits, a bit of slate for the rock then painted just with washes, and a mix of filler/spackle, sand, and brown paint for the mud 🙂 then flocked with some off tufts and the like.
